My stay at the hotel was a mix of good and bad. The room was nicely done but unfortunately filthy, with a leather pullout couch that I couldn't use due to the severe musky odor throughout. The service, while friendly, had a little pushiness regarding tours or timeshares. The location was very scenic and great for a vacation but marred by cigarette smoke smell. The dining experience required driving quite a distance for a meal. Overall, a stay with ups and downs.

The hotel room worked for a 1-night stay, despite being small. Unfortunately, the thin walls made it hard to sleep with all the noise from doors slamming and people talking. The location was beautiful, close to the Shenandoah mountains, even though it seemed the hotel had been taken over by a corporation. Dining options were limited to the general store, and the noise from the AC was bothersome with no offer to switch rooms. On the positive side, the service was friendly and the fresh food at the store was good for the price.

Rooms
5.0
The room was really small but worked for a 1-night stay. However, the paper-thin walls made it noisy due to the nearby fire door and elevator.
Service
6.0
The service was friendly, although not ADA appropriate. Complaints about the noisy AC were not addressed, and there was no notice about room servicing during the stay.
Location

5.0/10

My stay at the hotel was a bit underwhelming. While the location was beautiful and serene, the rooms were not as luxurious as expected, and the space felt overcrowded. The service was lacking, but the property had some redeeming qualities.

Rooms
5.0
The rooms, unfortunately, did not meet my expectations of luxury and comfort. The lack of handrails on the steps was concerning, and a bit of maintenance like paint touch-ups would have been appreciated. The packed space made it difficult to move around, and a cushioned chair would have been more comfortable than the wooden rocker.
Service
5.0
I had a disappointing experience with the service. The staff seemed shocked by simple requests, and it was challenging to get in touch with anyone. However, the offer of an ozone machine was a unique touch.
Location
8.0
The location was absolutely beautiful, offering a serene setting and a lovely view. However, it was a bit far from nearby attractions like Charlottesville, which added some inconvenience to my stay.
Dining
5.0
Dining options were limited and not particularly appealing. The need to go to the onsite General store for a hot breakfast was disappointing, especially for those seeking a more convenient dining experience.
Facilities
5.0
The facilities were underwhelming, with no standout features to enhance my stay.
